There is a growing wave of Shona worship in South Africa. Amongst churches like the AFM, Anglican and Roman Catholic drawing Zimbabwean worshippers, the Methodist is also seeing a growing number of people attending services across South Africa. These are people who would have moved as Methodists or are converting to Methodism.
A number of societies have sprung up namely: Germiston Central, Benoni Central, Pretoria Central, Randburg and in Cape Town. The Randburg Shona service was officially launched on the 18th August 2013.
